Grandma's recipe book is making a comeback at Nonna's Table and we couldn't be happier. Say hello to Italian comfort food in the form of cheesy pizzas, bowls of steaming pasta and nibbly bits that'll leave you wanting more.

Located in artsy East Vancouver, this family-friendly restaurant has an informal setup with simple furnishings and barely-there decor. Free of all pretentiousness, the comforting food does all the talking.

Old-school favourites shine bright on the menu at Nonna's, with carbonara, bolognese and chicken and bacon alfredo serving pasta deliciousness, while pizzas come with classic toppings like the napoletana and diavola. Try Nonna's specialist pizza that comes with prosciutto, argula and fior di latte.

And with numerous household names like Goose Island and Peroni on draught, make it a laid back affair or make it summer with a dazzlingly orange Aperol Spritz.

The service was amazing, our server was super nice, attentive and she kept asking us if everything was okay. 10/10 for her! The place is cozy and inviting. As for the food, it was okay. We ordered salad, steak, pasta and pizza. The best dish in my opinion was the Carbonara pasta.

We had a great time at Nonna's table last night. Our server was friendly and attentive, and ever so patient when half of our party was running late. She checked in on us the perfect amount, and didn't rush us after dinner when we sat around to chat. All of the food was delicious and we'll definitely be heading back for the pizza! Overall a really enjoyable evening with delicious food and great staff.

Started with Calamari (good), Tequila lime prawns (just ok) and wings(good) as appetizer and couple of drinks. Main course was nice smaller portions then expected but filling. We got one Nonno’s pizza to share and I think was ok and could be better. Not enough ingredients so tasted so lay sauce and bread.
But we will try it again and get differ pizza to compare.

We went with our 10-yr old daughter so it was just the 3 of us total. She loved the bolognese and marguerita pizza. Bolognese was more "beefy" and not as tomato-ey as we're used to at other restaurants. I tried the primavera pasta. Portion sizes were small considering what their regular prices were. We had the 5pm reservation and were told the spinach salad had run out. Turns out they had no spinach so we just asked for romaine and it was fine. Prawns were yummy. Meatballs were a bit salty. Server lady was super awesome to us. Food is okay. Not sure we'll return at those regular prices. Found the menu to be quite small too.
