Cuisine: Italian, Pizza, Salads
Price Point: Mains from $15 - $25
Ranked: #9 of 21 restaurants in Vancouver

It's possibly the trendiest pizza restaurant in all of Vancouver. Mount Pleasant welcomes Sprezzatura with open arms.

When it comes to interior design, Sprezzatura must be the masters. They've filled their gigantic space with glossy tiled floors, whitewashed walls, potted plants and everything from bar stools to industrial metal chairs and benches with swathes of plump cushions. Top it all off with exposed metal pipes and Scandinavian lighting, and you have yourself an urban Italian bistro.

Before tucking into your pizza, why not warm your stomach with some mouth-watering Italian meatballs doused in fresh tomatoes or indulge yourself with their burrata and prosciutto. Make it a family affair with some sharing antipasti and lose yourself to the tangy homemade pickles, truffle salami, and gorgonzola, plus many more goodies.

Sprezzatura doesn't follow the crowd with wafer-thin crispy pizzas – they favour authentic Verache Pizza Napoletana dough with soft, soupy centres. On the menu are the classic toppings plus a few wildcards, like the roasted pork belly, porcini mushroom and Italian sausage with rapini. Pizza horizons are meant to be broadened after all.

We booked a table for 2 on Sunday. The server greeted us warmly and got us a nice cozy spot after we requested a window seating. We ordered the pork belly and the braised wagyu beef. The meats were extremely tender and succulent, pleasing every taste bud on our palette. While enjoying the food, we were constantly entertained by the politeness of the server. We were so happy about the service and food that we booked a Christmas party for the following week. To our surprise, they got us a private dining room!

Upon entering the restaurant, I already had a great feeling about my choice to dine here. It's a very comforting environment yet had a bit of a classy side to it. The manager? was very accommodating and was able to pack up my food very last minute to accommodate my schedule. He was very understanding about my last minute rush. Next time, I look forward to properly dining in for their amazing roasted chicken.

We ordered a Garlic Flat Bread, Mussels and a Mushroom pizza. The bread was soft and really delcious. I don't eat mussels often but we tried. Their mussels were awesome! They were big and soft, and no smell. I loved them! And the pizza was also great. The dough was thin but soft and not too crunchy. I think it is the best pizza in Vancouver! I highly recommend this restaurant and we'd love to go back!

Great early dinner in our way to a movie. Food was fab, great service, introduced to some lovely wines we’d never tried before. Will definitely be back.

Great food and dining experience! It was our first time at Sprezzatura. We have driven by a number of times with the intention of dropping in one day. We have to say that our first experience did not disappoint. Our server made great recommendations and we ordered the garlic flatbread and har two pizzas to share. Every bite had delicious flavor and chew. It was certainly the best pizza that I had ever had. I’m looking forward to returning soon!

Thank you First Table for branching us out to discover new restaurants, Sprezzatura did not disappoint. We had the meatballs and Prosciutto and Burrata for starters, Pork Belly and Spicy Meatball Pizzas for mains, and Lemon Mousse and Chocolate Tart for dessert. Everything was outstanding! The photos of their pizzas do not do them justice, trust me on this you need to try them. The service was fabulous, and wine list fantastic, their cocktails looked amazing so we have to go back!

Excellent service and the food was fantastic! We had two appetizers, a salad, two mains (one was a pizza) and of course dessert.
Had to take some of the pizza home as we rolled outta there...
First Table concept is great - it’s like the new early bird special, millennium style! And with the day light time change, dining at 5/5:30 is perfect.

Highly recommend this restaurant!! We ordered green salad, braised wagyu, roasted sable fish, and a pork belly pizza, and ALL are marvelously delicious. Staffs are friendly and nice. We’ll definitely come back to this place.

We were first stuck in a corner, despite the entire restaurant being empty, where we couldn’t flag the server because he couldn’t even see us! But we asked to move to the bar and from that point forward the service was fantastic. Food was overall good but a few misses. Meatballs were delicious and buratta was also very yummy. Bruschetta was good but a bit boring. Would definitely go back to try the pizzas!

We ordered the Braised Wagyu, Roasted Chicken, and the Spicy Meatball Pizza, with a side of the seasonal vegetables (brussel sprouts) and rapini.

We first got the pizza, and it was easily the highlight of our meal. The crust was light and crispy at the ends, but had a little sag in the middle. This is the way they describe their pizza as it is best for folding, but they recommend eating with knife and fork. We had previously asked the waitress what she recommends and she told us that their pizzas are easily the best thing on the menu. Being a spicy meatball, I did not find it spicy at all and had to ask for more chili flakes (this is subjective as others might). There was plenty of meatballs and cheese around the pizza, that every bit had a little big of the toppings. We also got their roasted garlic dip, and if you're a garlic lover this is an absolute must. Just make sure you bring mouth wash or mints after.

Next we got the braised beef wagyu. It was braise so well that you didn't require a knife to break it apart. It was served on a bed of potato wedges. While the beef was braised nicely, it didn't wow me like the pizza did. The wedges were over cooked and tasted a bit dry.

The last item we got was the roast chicken, and while at first it didn't seem that great, after we cut into it and took our first bite we understood why the waitress recommended it to us. The breast meat was moist and juicy, while the skin was super crispy (similar to something you'd find on roast pork belly). The chick was flattened out to help with an even cooking. I highly recommend this dish. Perhaps ask if there is something they can offer other than potato wedges as this was also dry as well.

The rapini was done well, but ours was a bit bitter. Our waitress had told us this is the usual for rapini, but from our previous experiences it didn't taste this way. Perhaps it was the way they cooked it that differed in taste.

The season vegetables turned out to be brussel sprouts which we loved. It was topped with some parmesean cheese, and had little cubes of yam underneath it. I This was very well done.

Overall I had a great dining experience and would go again to try more of their pizza selection.

Great food! Two of us shared 3 mains and it was all delicious. Hard to say what was better, the beef or the chicken. Good atmosphere as well. We will be back!

The service at the restaurant was great, our server was very attentive. He even interacted with my child so that's definitely a plus. The restaurant is kid-friendly - they have a kids menu and have colouring page and crayons. The server did let us know that the first table discount does not apply for happy hour menu, which was fine, but didn't tell us that it didn't apply to the kids menu. We found out when we got the bill and it was a bit of a surprise. It wasn't a big deal (not that we care about a $2.50 discount in the grand scheme of things), but it's the principle behind it.

The food is a bit of a hit-and-miss. Our appetizer (roasted mussels) was delicious and we both enjoyed it. My entree (roasted sablefish) was fairly tasteless and the portion was small. My husband's entree (beef) was overly salty and overly flavorful, but the portion was good. My daughter enjoyed her mini pizza. We ordered the panna cotta and tiramisu for dessert, and both were delicious and the portion is generous for the price.

If parking isn't so difficult to find in the area, we wouldn't mind returning in the future.

Pretty good experience here. My wife has some vision problems and they were nice enough to give us a better lit table. Also, the Pork Belly Pizza was quite good.
